- 10 cups popped popcorn (about 1.5 – 2 bags)
- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ cup butter
- 3 tbsp. light corn syrup
- 1 (3 oz.) package of flavored gelatin
- 1 tbsp water
Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Do not use foil or wax paper!
Put popcorn in a large bowl or pot.
Stir sugar, butter, water, and light corn syrup in a small pan over medium low heat until butter melts. Add the gelatin to the mix. Stir until gelatin completely dissolves. Let it boils 1 minute.
Pour slowly mix over popcorn and mix at the same time while the mixture is still hot.
Pour popcorn on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
Bake for 12 minutes. “Fluff” popcorn as you see necessary. Return to oven, bake for another 12 minutes.
Remove from oven. Fluff popcorn gently. Let it cool.
TIPS: use chopsticks in the process (mix, stir, fluff)!
