Sugar Glaze for Cookies or Cakes

Ingredients

  • 2 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 4 tablespoons water or milk
  • 1tsp vanilla or almond extract
  • food coloring (optional)

Directions

Stir confectioners’ sugar, corn syrup, and water (milk) together. Stir in food coloring if desired. This glaze must be stirred each time you use it. If it is not stirred before each use it will dry with a mottled look instead of a solid color.

If glaze is too thick, add little by little more water or milk.

If glaze is too thin, add more little by little confectioners’ sugar.
