Ingredients
- black candy melts
- bugle corn chips
- oreo thins
- gold star shaped sprinkles
- optional: black luster powder
Instructions
Pour candy melts into a melting pot or a microwave safe bowl. Melt on high 1 minute, stir, and on 70% 30 seconds. Every microwave is different so this is not a rule, it’s what works using my microwave. The goal is to melt the candy but not get it too hot. If you get it too hot it will thicken on you. If this happens you can add a tablespoon of shortening. NO WATER!
Set up the drying station. Rice and skewers works best.
Dip the tops of each bugle in the melted candy. Place on the skewer to dry.
Separate the Oreo thins and scrap out the filling. Dip each wafer in the melted candy, place on a parchment lined baking pan. Put in the refrigerator to harden (about 15 minutes). If the edges need to be trimmed, use a microplainer, rub your warm finger around the edges to smooth it out.
Dip the base of the bugle in the melted candy, press onto the center of the Oreo. Put in the refrigerator to harden (about 15 minutes).
Brush on optional luster powder.
